Help with NVA or VC Flag.

Hey Guys

I have been wanting to get into Vietnam stuff recently, and a friend of mine offered this flag up for sale. I don't know much about how to tell if an item is real or not in this field so im asking for help on this flag. Also. If anyone can translate what it says that would be great. Thanks and enjoy the flag.

It looks like some of the repros put out in the past 20 years. Any other opinions?

This is one of the "souvenir" type flags available in the tourists markets in Saigon, and all over Ebay.

Ditto that, IMO a fake, based on narrow lettering, center star work, etc.

Here for comparitive purposes is a recent ebay reproduction offering.

Despite the lower resolution and the artificial ageing/distressing the star does appear to be similar in construction.

As the comments above bear out, one to respectfully decline purchasing.
