Unknown patch on U.S. used black pajamas

Hello everyone! I picked up this grouping a while back and was wondering if anyone could help me identify this patch.
    Thanks for any input!

I am going to make an educated, partial guess.

I am betting this is an Engineer demolitions unit. Demolitions would come under Combat Engineers. I am guessing they were called upon from time to time to demolish small bridges, dams, retention walls, etc. that may have been on the thousands of waterways in wet areas of Vietnam. Such things might get in the way of an attacking riverine force. (And no, despite Hollywood, you can't just shoot your way through such things!) I can't make out the lettering at the bottom of the patch, but S-2 in the mid section would indicate the "intelligence" section that supported the unit. This is not necessarily spy stuff... it may be the guys who went out and reconned proposed targets before a mission was launched. As such, perhaps they went out in black pajamas in an effort to blend in. However, if you have ever seen a photo of an American in black pajamas, they tend to stand out due to size.

          Neat item!

Thanks a lot for your input! The patch on the bottom reads HT/TS . I thought it was possibly a navy designation, but what do I know. My father who was an engineer in the Army during the war said although he had no clue to it's nature it most likely was, as you said, engineer related. Thanks again!

              Nice looking set
Does there happen to be any evidence of a woven tag in the neck of the shirt or waist of the pants?
The black pajamas may be CISO (Counter Insurgency Supply Ofiice) issue.

There's no evidence of any tags on the set and unfortunately The group isn't named so I can't go the archive route.

Negative, just watched my CISO pajama set and cut seems to be different.

I believe there is more than one cut. I have seen at least two variations in pocket styles and fabric weights.
