Hello Fellow Members,
I bought this today with a helmet, it is very clean.
DOES IT LOOK CORRECT ?
Also, do you put it on with the side openings facing towards the face or facing towards the back?
I want to thank all that help me in advanced.

Where would I post a WWI German Sword, I looked through all the categories and I see this one and one for awards, but no category for swords pre WWII. -
The side opening face toward the front. They are for the chinstrap to be worn externally. Looks like a very nice find!! As for posting your sword, either of the Imperial forums should work.

I have had a few picklehaubes, but never a cover.
I actually did not know the openings were for the chinstrap.
Guess I was looking at it the wrong way.
