    1.Garde-Regt.zu Fuss Uniform

I love the Garde items. Just received yesterday. The regiment in which all six sons of the Kaiser served.

Greatly tunic Mike! I too like the Garde formations (and visits to Potsdam!) and yours is a uniform (need either a EM or NCO GRzF1) which has eluded me so far.

My Father had 3 Uncles who served in that regiment during the 1880s. They (being the 3 middle sons of his Father's family) were not entitled to any part of the estate, so they "dropped their plow shares" and went to Berlin....as my Father used to say.

        A Portrait

I also bought this portrait. I had never seen anything like this before. It was very heavy cardboard and the portrait (colorized) attached in the middle. For the Garde regiment in Potsdam. It is about 4.25 X 6.5 inches in size. Just really cool.

Yes a nice Uffz - Unteroffizier or lowest ranking NCO.
