Guys, I wanted to show you this IMO very cool historical piece. I obtained this on the last Grenadier Auction. It is a GJB Tschako identifies to Oblt. der Res. Koenig of 2d Radfahrer Kompanie. He was KIA on Oesel during the German invasion of the Baltic Islands off Estonia in 1917, Operation Albion. 2d Kp. was raised in 1916 seeing action in Rumania and France before participating on Operation Albion. He was KIA on 12 October 1917 near Uddofer assaulting a Russian held bridge.
Accompanying the book was documentation on Koenig. Also a history titled Ehrenbuch der Grunen Farbe, a history of the wartime Imperial Jager and Schützen. There is a chapter devoted to Albion in which Koning is mentioned several times.
Now to find a picture of Koning? The name of Koning is on a maker's label under the inner liner. The label is positioned so as to make a photo is difficult.
Thanks to Kaiserwilhelm for additional information.
