I cannot make out the maker name -- can you elaborate?
And vice versa -- I have the Bavarian Jager battalion visor cap in my collection, made by Eduard Sachs -- based in Berlin.

When you look at the coat of arms inside the quality marker - you see two lions upholding a shield - that is the coat of arms of the Bavarian Kingdom.
Seeing a Bavarian cap by a Prussian maker is perhaps less extraordinary than vice versa if you are dealing with a major Prussian manufacturer (although it is more extra-ordinary when it is a Bavarian Jaeger cap as this is such a specific Bavarian cap). The Garde Schuetzen is Berlin based unit and one would assume that the officers there would buy their hats at a Berlin tailor/hat maker.
The two lions coat of arms is not actually the Bavarian coat of arms. The insignia for Strasburg is similar but also different. Makes one wonder what exactly the cap coat of arms actually is.
Thanks for showing. It makes it clear that the other cap is not maker marked as yours is (Wagner) but only has a quality stamp. I expect that this quality stamp is some sort of association stamp awarded to hat makers that met certain quality criteria. There are several different kind of these markers to be found in caps and in some cases these may also be just that of the maker hyping his own wares and not actually an award for quality. I agree after seeing this stamp in combination with Wagner that the quality stamp not necessarily has a Bavarian connection.
Willi and Tom ...
Great responses and really cool to see that quality stamp on yours as well -- with the maker added. Nice promotion on the part of the hat maker.

So happy you chimed in. I loved that ad -- or maybe it is a page from a catalogue or magazine -- showing the Clemens & Wagner hats. This answers the question completely and I am delighted to have a C&W cap. It was always one of my TR favorites as well.
As always, you are an incredible resource and great help to me personally.
