Warning - possible funny business on German ebay

    Hi Guys,

Just a heads up. I have been noticing the last few weeks that several Imperial Fieldgrey tunics that IMO are originals were sold on ebay.de only to return several weeks later for sale again but now from a different seller. F.e. yesterday a tunic (GSB) appeared starting at 1 euro that sold 4 weeks earlier for a little over 8200 euro now by a different seller using the same pics from the original sale. Making it even more suspicious is that it is just a 24 hour sale. I have seen this happen 4 times the last two or three months by different resellers. Not sure what is going on but buyer beware.

Providing links does not really help as these quickly become redundant.

Here are the two tunics currently for sale on ebay that were already sold about 4 weeks ago.

Once again. Sold a couple of weeks ago for about 4300 euro and now back again on ebay.de starting for just 3,90 euro and again just a 24 hour sale.

You've done well in spotting these. I actually saw a Garde Schützen uniform go for over 8.000 euro's a couple of months ago like that.

IMO this one was also sold not too long ago on ebay.de and now reappearing. Once again a fairly inactive ebay seller with most recent feedback from someone who is no longer a member on ebay. Beware.

All this, because ebay's ones are not auctions, but just sales from mostly unknown people.
They can do whatever they like and most reports made to eBay remain unanswered (business is business, I regret to say).

In a real, room auction, such things wouldn't ever happen.

Yes, I reported all these to ebay - no reaction, no action.

                          QED indeed.

                          More likely Caveat Emptor, though.

Be aware - this guy/guys are still acitve...

The GSB tunic is right now for sale in the German eBay "Kleinanzeigen" which is called "Classifieds" in the US.

I have send the "seller" a message right now, let's see if he will answer...

                            Regards
