M17 Stahhelm

Hello everyone,

There is an interesting helmet for sale on a local site. I peronally think there is something wrong with it, its TOO good. But I actually hope not because it would be a nice helmet. Maybe someone can help?
And nope i cant get better photos....

Based on these photos I would certainly pass. The helmet looks like it's been repainted and the leather liner pads seem to be stained rather than age darkened. I'm sure that good quality pictures would make this very clear.

Hello Fred,

Not even close. The leather liner pads are reproduction, the leather chinstrap is reproduction, and the original B.F. shell has been partially repainted.
