The catches in front of the buckle are positioned to hold the so-called Kabeltrommelstütze. And as such worn by members of the Telegrafentruppen and Feldtelegrafen-Abteilungen.

        Hello,

Sorry for my late reply to this thread here, as I haven't been very active in recent months here.

He means "Has anyone seen a catch like this on the back of an M15 Prussian Telegraph Buckle?"

I haven't ever seen one with a catch like this one from your friend, but that's not to say it didn't happen. I think most of us are more familiar with the commonly seen flattened "u" shaped catch on these telegrapher buckles, especially the model 1895's. Here's a link to an old thread I started on the subject: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ht=telegrapher

Didn't you already sell it on eBay for $39.99 "buy-it-now" to some lucky winner, or am I mistaken? Maybe Rob ended up getting it. (good for him if he did!)

        Best Regards,

        Alan

I hope this scan is clear enough for you to pick out the telegraphers buckles the men are wearing. They look to be M-95 models and there is no unit ID or any marks other than what is written on the bottom.
