Hello Alex,
I tried to respond via PM as well, but it got kicked back.
The M16 S.i. 66 shell is original WWI German manufactured. The outside has been repainted, the inside appears to be original feldgrau. The liner pins/rivets are not original WWI German. I've never seen such a liner system and chinstrap, and, cannot help you there... but, for sure they are not original issue to any WWI German M16/M17/M18 steel combat helmet. Hope this helps.
Best Regards,
