    Buckle Front? Maybe Not.

    Well it does appear to be a buckle plate but i cant quite work out with the clip to the rear, any help would be great Oh may i add its quite nice work with all the machine turning to the design

    WWI Austrian Telegrapher Badge, should be 45.5mm across. The attachment looks typical.

        My familiarity went as far as the ID since I have seen a number of this style of KUK badge sold as German, but the wear of such devices is unknown to me. Maybe you can edit the title of the post to get some more people looking who know the where's and when's for this.

          There were a host of these Austro-Hungarian proficiency badges. Normally, not worn in the front lines, but certainly behind the lines and for walking-out purposes. They were very popular with the troops and were worn on the upper right breast, some soldiers sporting more than one. They have also been heavily reproduced.
