    Grenate Armelabzeichen

    Hallo,
I have been looking for any images--especially of the artifacts--with the grenade sleeve insignia. Dates, and any dispatches or orders regarding its use also welcomed.

Shown here are two of a style I am particularly curious about. Both owners back the dealers they bought from, but I am told the insignia are not correct. However I am curious if these are close to an actual design.

    Thank you for your input!

Without commenting on the originality... what is "correct" ?

If I was to say the 1st one is typical of the locally made ones worn by the I. Batl. of I.R.765 ... who could prove me right or wrong?

The 2nd one was not made by the tailor Herr Müller, but by a Seamstress Frau Peters who was working off a pencil sketch behind the lines of the Jäger Battalion 93....

Anyone want to prove me right or wrong? :-)

If I am not wrong... one was an ebay sale, so i would have a hard time backing the seller....

Its the reason I would only trust something like this if it came directly from the wearers cold dead hands.... or his great granddaughters warm hands...

I saw this one and considered bidding on it. I like the look of it. Proof on the other hand is sometimes just a gut feeling.

There is no way I know of to prove the authenticity of such insignia. After many decades of looking at every example I could find, I think I have a pretty good feel for how they were made.

In particular, I don't like this piece. The stitching is the crude and the wool is odd. Not for me. I have saved pictures over the years of other fakes that have hit the market. They are always minor mistakes.

Thanks everyone. Perhaps I am not so clear--I was looking for photos of them in use. Any style. Particularly if they seem to look like these with the contrasting stick.
Toward that end I am also looking for pictures of authentic ones in collections. I have never seen one anyone has called "good."

I showed my only two examples. I tried searching a few forums for threads on this insignia with no results, but if anyone knows of some...
