Thanks for educating me. I will probably go with large crown buttons instead,
if I can find 8 that are perfectly matching, like these Verwaltungs buttons which are perfectly matching.

I had a feeling this stepped off path while trying to find the right buttons.

eBay.de has a few offerings of a set. I can only offer the rimless pocket or shoulder buttons with crown in abundance, if you had an m1915 Bluse...

Excellent. Among the ones I saw. Glad to see you grabbed a set.

Next step will be tougher--Württembergisches Schulterklappen.

So they had colorful red shoulderstraps (as seen on Blue waffenrocks) also worn on field gray? Such Württembergisches Schulterklappen???

I'd shy away from officer boards. Rather overpriced too.

119-125, 127 and 180 are all Württembergisches units. Some have ciphers. Perhaps Chip will have time to chime in on the options.

Please check and use wartime shoulder straps. These would be field gray for infantery. If you found a foot artillery set they would be yellow. Flak may have been red with yellow numbers and such. The straps should be finish in the ends and ready to sew onto the shoulder at the seem and not into the seem.

Chip probably has many examples to show.

None of the previously shown boards are appropriate. The picture you showed has red straps because they are FLAK troops. I think you want to make this an infantry coat. You need a pair of M1915 gray straps with white piping and red unit number or cypher. The following numbers would work, 119, 120, 121, 122, 123, 124, 125, 126, 127, 180, 246, 247, 248. There would also be Württemberg units in the 300 and 400 series of unit numbers.

Congratulations on a nice acquisition with your overcoat and M-15 buttons to add as replacements. You have also gotten excellent expert advice on restoring the Mantel to Württemburg configuration for shoulder straps to match the Korps marking.

I might offer that finding a matching pair of M-15 (white piped) infantry shoulder straps for XIII Korps Infantry is a somewhat tall order. A more likely possibility might be to also consider employing the utility (Einheits) straps which are unpiped and were used equally on the Bluse as well as the Mantel. This should open the range of chances for acquisition, even though they do not look as attractive as the field gray straps with white piping.

I mention this only as an expedient to finding a suitable pair, as in over 45 years of collecting I do not yet own a matched pair of XIII Korps Infantry straps, just many singles.

Good luck with your restoration project.

                                Bob
