    Regimental numbers ID help-Please

    Hi
I'm posting this for someone on another forum I belong to.
This is a 1898 n/A quill bayonet and he is trying to decipher
    the numbers on the crossguard.

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks,
    Greg

I realize there is not much there to work with but I thought
maybe someone would make at least take an educated guess.

It might help to identify the marking if you will post the markings as you are able to see them with bayonet in hand.

I don't have it in hand and the pictures that the owner has are not great.
The best he seems to be able to read is "2R?" - "R200" which makes no
        sense to me.

It was made by WKC and has the small crown acceptance stamp and 05 date.
I am guessing that the 1502 stamp is a inventory number.

        that's all I know
