    M17 Estate Sale Pickup

I recently found this at an Estate Sale on San Padre Island. Liner is not in the best of shape and one of the leather pads have broken off from the band original string is present but I believe the helmet 100% original. Marker BF64 on inside of helmet and liner band shows a marking of FCB 17 64. Paid $100

You did good. Its even got original mud in the air vents, as soldiers would do that to keep the heat in and wind noise out.

You don't have to collect WWI to keep it! If you don't have one why not keep her?

            Quite right!
Every helmet collection needs a nice M16!
Especially if said helmet is pulled out of the woodwork!

Been invalided in other hobbies, Playing rock star and trying to survive in the economy still.

I need to sell something. I posted a SD with GERRY Rigged chin strap on Craig's list and some local collector wants to tell me it's only worth 200 dollars LOL
