    8. Kurassier Officer Tunic

Here is my M1910 officer's waffenrock and schirmmutze for Kurassier-Regmt. Graf Gessler (Rheinisches) Nr. 8. The regiment was created in 1815, was garrisoned at Deutz and was part of the IV.AK. The tunic is piped on green including the bottom of the skirt and the button are brass. The subdued Borte on the collar and cuffs are specific to that regiment. All M1910 kurassier boards were piped in white. The boards originally had cyphers on them and subsequently have been removed most likely because the honorary Chef of the Regiment was King George V of England!

Beautiful tunic and cap! Any Kurassier officer helmets to show?

        Cheers,
        Arran.

          Hey Arran,

Thanks for the comments on the tunic and cap. Unfortunately, neither opportunity nor the funding has put a metal helm in my collection.

            Very Nice!

You need a Prussian General Staff officer's tunic in your collection.
