Can I get some comments on this Pickelhaube?

Look at this pickelhaube today, and things don't look quite right to me. First of all it seems to be a combination of brass plate and spike with gray iron fittings on the helmet. It's seems to be put together. There is a weird brass stud thru the plate. It has only a half of a chin strap and one cockade. The fellow wants 400.00 for it but I am dubious. I am not an expert on these, comments?

put together but been that way for a long time. could even be depot refurbished... i'd wait for more experienced opinions.
