    Bavarian Kokarden

I love Bavarian helmets and thought I would share some of the many variations of Bavarian Kokarden that are out there.

    thanks

Gosh James, I never knew there were so many variations. I suppose some of the more unfamiliar ones are from earlier periods that I don't know much about. Thanks for posting these.

              Impressive James.

As with Chip, I'm unfamiliar with some of these... can you give me an idea which ones are Officer and Enlisted?

Thanks for the nice comments, the top three on the left are from Officer helmets, rest our OR. Chip you are correct in that most of the different looking ones come from older helmets and Raupenhelms.

Tony- one of these days I will take some pics of the Raupenhelms for you

                  thanks

I meant with my own eyes while I am cleaning out your liquor cabinet.

                          James,

For we, the unwashed masses, could you please identify the model years of your Raupenhelme?

                          Thanks,
                          Chip

Chip- not a lot of reference material on these types, best book is "Die Helme der Koniglich Bayerischen Armee 1806-1918", a great book in German and hard to find.

                            top left is a M1845/48

rest mainly fall into the M1845/64 range

                            Best

                            James
