    Pickelhaube Garde Landwehr

    Good day,

    I have a spiked helmet and can not determine the Pickelhaube
    I want to ask you if everything is with the Pickelhaube okay?
    should the parts be in silver?

    When the fittings (inclusing the rosettes of the chinscales) are all silver, when the Landwehr cross, the chinscales and the stars of the spike base are gold, it's a Garde Landwehr Pionier Kompanie.
    Here's a picture of my helmet, but it's for a Fahrich and has stud retainers instead of stars for the spike base...

      It was always so, as you have told? or there were discrepancies.
      the part behind the Pickelhaube was early gilded and looks like it has not changed

        Normally it should be like the one I showed. It's maybe possible the frosted silver has worn out and than you can see the basic material of the helmet plate come true, which is messing (a copper aloy)...
