    Unidentified helmet plate (?) - what is it?

    I would sincerely appreciate any information on this item that measures about 4 inches high. It came with a bunch of Nazi relics I bought from the solder's family. Thanks.

    Its the Wappen (front plate) for a Bavarian Raupenhelm worn up to 1864.
