    Cuirassier officer's spike helmet

Can you confirm that this is a correct liner for a Cuirassier officer's spike helmet.
    Thank you in advance.

I could be wrong but the liner shows little or no wear compared to the underside of the beak and lobster tail. The liner looks almost mint condition, so it looks to me that someone added this new liner to an old helmet

WOW, I don't know if it's real or fake but it IMO it is a beautiful looking piece.
It would make for a great display.

A beautiful looking 6th Cuirassier Officer Helmet!

The black velvet lining on the underside of the rear visor looks correct.

Leather lining under front visor looks correct, with quite a bit of wear to it when compared to the leather sweatband & silk liner, and black velvet rear visor lining.

Not sure if the liner was replaced or not, without having it in hand to inspect. If it was replaced, whoever did it used the correct size sweatband.

              Best Regards,

              Alan
