    Information on this Litewka

    Gentlemen,

I would like to know what you can tell me about this Litewka. I had info on unit etc. in the past but am unable to locate it now. Any assistance that you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Gordon

        Hi Gordon,

Technically, it's not a Litewka, but a Kleiner Rock. It was a name change when they redesigned it to have the Abzeichentuch collar, the slanted hip pockets and a rear vent.

This one is for an infantry officer, apparently unassigned. Garde officers would have had double piped boards, that is, an underlay color and then an additional layer of piping (Randstreife).

That's about all one can say about this unless there is an owner's tag on the inside.

            Hi Gordan,
It's beautiful. I would love to have one in my collection someday.

It's a nice looking piece, but I'm bothered by the fabric of the main coat. That loose weave looks more like what would be found on a costume (perhaps for a movie) than on an original piece.
