    First Mannequin - "Early" 1916

I also posted this on the Gunboards site but what the heck...it's the first time I put this stuff on a mannequin. I call it an "early 1916" impression only because of the tunic (which is my only example of FG but at least it's Guard marked and dated 1912) Everything you see is 100% original and with few exceptions about as minty as it comes. It was a pain putting this together while trying not to scuff the leather. It's a nuisance dressing yourself up in this crap for reenacting but this was tougher! Enjoy the toys.

Actually...I guess everything on this guy is ca. 1914 with the exception of the Segeltuchtasche. This is the 1916 pattern with the two inner compartments. I didn't think I'd be able to squeeze on the 1915 model that doesn't have the rings for breadbag strap suspension. The Segeltuchtasche shown includes the early style can, gummimaske, and the spare filter in the tin can. The pack is dated 1914 and apparently never issued...an early Ebay find before everyone caught on!

                  Fantastic set-up!

Minty early-war field-gear is tough to find, and an other rank's M1907 tunic is even tougher...I'm assuming it's stamped BAG 1912 inside?

There's a couple of my current set-ups in the thread below, specifically posts #10 and #22:

Excellent sets gentlemen. They both took a lot of time, money, and dedication to assemble. Congratulations!

                      Best Regards,

                      Alan

Can you detail the original items from the reproductions used on the display?

Yes but I was asking about the OP's photos. Those ammo pouches look so new and nothing was said about new made vs. original.
