What wappen and cockades would be on a pickelhaube from Sax-Alltenburg? Would it be the standard Prussian eagle wappen and cockades?

8. Thüringisches Infanterie-Regt. Nr.153 (Altenburg, III Bn Merseburg) IV Armee Korps wore an eagle Wappen with FUERST instead of KOENIG. It carried a small silver overlay Wappen of Sachsen-Altenburg. It was identical to the Wappen carried by 6. Thüringisches Infanterie-Regt. Nr.95 (Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha, and Sachsen-Meiningen).
Looky here. Unfortunately not a great resolution. I should update that image http://www.kaisersbunker.com/hp/hw1.htm

Well Edgar's father started out as an enlisted man before the war and at war's end he was an officer. A tid bit of info... when his father got married, his brides family had to pay a dowery to him and if he had been an office when he married the dowery would have a larger sum depending on his rank... the higher the rank the higher the dowery. This was his regimental tradition. I don't know if this would apply to other regiment of the period
