Imperial Trench/Overcoat

All appears to be proper for an original M-1915 Feldgrau Mantel with the notable exception of the collar facing, which has been somewhat carelessly replaced at some time. The material used is not exactly the same color or type aa the original. The collar's underside is OK, as is the lining of the body which is certainly original. The size and acceptance stamps are a bit atypical, but probably OK.

Even with the problem I would say this is a quite desirable item for collectors.

I just now took another look at the two close up images you added in #3, and the collar facing material appears to be closer to original than in the photo of #1. I was perhaps thrown off by the quite irregular machine stitching on the underside when it was re-sewn using the wrong thread.

So, I retract what I said about the material in my first comment, and I'll get my eyes examined.
