I picked this up today at the local Flea Market. The lady I bought it from said it was child's Picklehaube. but she was not really sure and since the price was right I bought it. The top looks like it has been added to the helmet. It has some dents and dings and a few small streaks of a green paint. Inside it has the # 2 in Silver paint and some light rust. Any help on this Helmet is appreciated and Thank You in advance

Hello,
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this is not a "child's pickelhaube", or anything related to a pickelhaube at all.
It is a lodge helmet for either the Masons, or the knights of pythias, or some other "secret society" lodge like I've mentioned.
The helmet in question has nothing to do with WW1 Germany or Germany at all. Any chance you can get your money back, and return the item to the seller?
