Can anyone help identify this helmet?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help with the year and type of pickehaube? I know it is Prussian but is it a certain branch of service? Thanks!!!

A beautiful "Awes-Marke" manufactured helmet. They made some of the finest quality helmets, in my opinion.

Your helmet would date from early 1900's era, up until approximately July of 1914.

If the chinscales are flat, your helmet is a Line Infantry Officer Helmet. (I can't quite tell from your fine photographs if the chinscales are flat, or if they are curved/rounded in shape from top to bottom).

        Best Regards,

        Alan

If you are only going to have one Preußen officer's Pickelhaube in your collection, this is the one you want. Condition is superb.

                          Congratulations.
