The shako certainly looks good. I think this is a reservists badge? Whether the badge, chinstrap and cockade are original would have to be seen in person, but it all looks good to me.

Plate shows it is a GUARD Jager shako. Looks good!

        Hello.

        It's a guard shako but there are a few regiments using this plate: garde-jager, garde-schutzen, telegraphen-batl, luftschiffer-batl, flieger-batl.

Are there stamps inside the shako? It can help.

The chinstrap is not original to this shako: it must have white (german silver) fittings.

Feldzeichen looks also to be a copy but it's difficult toĆ  say with only this picture.

        Best regards

          Yes, a Guard Shako indeed.

Looks like a wartime model, with gray color metal fittings.

The chinstrap looks like it has brass fittings.

It will be interesting to hear if there are any markings inside the shako, or on the underside of the back visor.

          Best Regards,

          Alan

            Hello.

You're right, it can be a model 15 shako with gray color iron fittings. Is the helmet plate magnetic?

            Best regards
