    m16 WITH UNKNOWN LINER

Please can I get your opinions on this M16 helmet ie is it a German issue or another country with this style of liner?Or is it just a liner replaced?

i think this is a home made/improvised leather liner replacement, not a German reissue to another country, and it looks rather fresh/recent. the apple green paint on the shell underneath the darker black or green looks to be original WW1.

Somewhre their is a faux-leather jacket with a jagged hole in it.

I love that helmet, but get rid of that naugahyde-looking liner. Stinkorino, neighborooni. Bet the black paint is '30s era; don't go changin'!
