    Help with 1915 Pickelhaube markings

Would appreciate any help with the markings in a 1915 dated Pickelhaube I've just picked up, the "H S h" markings are in pencil, inside the crown it's dated 1915 and size 54 and has what I presume is a makers mark.
    Thanks Gary

It appears that the original markings were scraped off. This isn't uncommon. Then you see the marking "J.W. III A.K."
All I can think of is that AK is the acceptance mark of the Abnahme Komission, so the helmet was likely reissued and therefore the original stamps were removed. What the "J.W." stands for, I don't know.
The "55" is the size of the helmet.
Th circular stamp is the manufacturer.
The "HSh" in pencil is most likely the initials of the wearer of the helmet.

      Hope this helps you,

Karel , can't that III AK stand for third Armee Korps ?
        J W ... is it possible Infanterie Werkstatt ? ..or ?
        best regards

That's also a very good possibility... have to admit I'm not the best in stamp reading ...

              Possibility...

              I'm thinking:
-Maybe the III is actually a 41... (it looks to me like 41 in the pic)
-Maybe the 'K' is actually a 'R' (top portion rubbed out)
take a look at Field Artillery #31 on Colonel J's web site:
http://www.pickelhauben.net/articles/Kammer2.html (See how the 'R' almost looks like a 'K')

              Possibly could be:
3rd Guards Field Artillery, Berlin, Beeskow
              3rd (1st Brandenburg) Field Artillery "General-Feldzeugmeister", Brandenburg
41st (2nd Lower Silesian) Field Artillery, Glogau

Just tossing some ideas out there.

                Hello colleague .
It's quiet impossible , not even mentioning K - R relation . For me it looks clearly like K
                but in general
                - artillery always has a ball instead of spike
                then ..
                - 3rd Guard Field Artillery would have different emblem - Guard eagle ( I know we talking about a stamp , but it means the helmet must be messed up which doesn't look like )
                - the second proposed would have an eagle like a line lookig with FWR on a chest instead FR plus a ball instead of spike
                - 41st Lower Silesian a regular line eagle , but still a ball
I'm no an expert ( there are some on the forum certainly ) but that's just my opinion and think any attempt may be interesting
                with friendly regards

                  Kornel R.,
                  I agree.
I forgot about the ball instead of spike
and it looks like a k upon review.
