picked this up this week, the white tape i was told was paint so i made a offer over the phone from pics. I think the white tape has been there since the war and may of had the guys address when he sent it home or maybe its something rare LOL Figured id better post. Thanks for any help i can get.

and those divider lines have lost some paint but i've seen that before. i think you're right on the tape residue, probably was used for addressing the helmet back home.

Paint loss is one thing but from the photos so far it looks like there is bare shinny metal under the black paint. We need to see close ups to see what is really there.
You never want to see bare shinny metal under any paint, camo or black lines.Comment

Don't hold your breath William... you'll have to buy the helmet to get a better look. The camo is good. The black divider lines are good, the wear in those lines is still odd.
