i´m very interestend in this gas mask with can on Ebay, is everything ok with it?

It appears to be 100% legit and as the seller states it's in better-than-average condition. The Buy it Now seems a bit pricey but that's up to you. I would have expected somewhere closer to $300-350 but for some reason prices on gas masks in almost any condition have climbed rapidly in recent years. Regardless - it's definitely good and a nice example.

One more thing - the seller only has one poorly-composed and hazy shot of the can. I would request some additional photos before diving in.

Alex,

It is an excellent example. The can has both original straps, and instruction sheet. It is also appropriately marked on the bottom of the can and there is a name painted on top.

$418.00 might seem a little high, but consider this... A couple years ago a nice set up such as this was selling for over $600.00. The prices went down somewhat, but are now climbing uphill again.

Send him a good offer of $325.00 and go from there.

When it comes to the "value" and prices of the things we collect, my take on it is that if it's the item you want to get, you're happy with it, and are mostly just in it for the collecting rather than for potential profit, a slightly high price isn't that big of a deal. More than once I've "over-paid" for something due to its rarity and/or condition but seeing the way the market is going for quality Imperial German items I'm not so sure there's such a thing as over-paying anymore (within reason of course) at least in the long run. Even if you paid the Buy it Now price I doubt you would regret it.

Yes...the straps appear to be papercloth and 100% correct!

I see in the ad on ebay he states that he doesn't accept international bids. I'm assuming he waived that for you or you have it shipped to a US address?
