Help with BAVARIAN ?? Items please

Not normally my area, so grateful for ANY help on Case and Tunic.

History I have on both is "I think Grandad brought them back" so no avenues there.

Cigarette case has 'Bruckmann' markings but cannot see year (they may not be like English marks and have a date mark ??).

It is also marked with what I believe to be 'Ludwig 111' of Bavaria's Cypher , happy to be corrected on this as would just like some info.

Tunic / Jacket is as you see it, can find No marks on inside, Buttons look to be washed gold over brass maybe.

Shoulder tabs are red with blue and whit piping and yellow numerals.

Stripes around Cuffs and Collar are faded 'Gold Bullion' (my description of).

Don't know what else to say,

    Any Help greatly Appreciated.

There were a number of "L" cyphers used by the imperial army. Some continued to be used after the war, like the "L" of the Königin Louise society. I suppose this could be associated with that society, as they had a number of insignia they wore (pins, stickpins, etc.), all which included the imperial period crown.

As to the imperial army cyphers, this one most closely resembles that of the Kürassier Rgt."Königin" Nr.2.

Your tunic is most likely a one year volunteer from the 4.Bavarian Field Artillery Regiment. The reason there are no issue markings, is because this is a private purchase tunic. The collar was once black to match the cuffs. I'm not familiar with the shoulder cord. It may not be military.

The sleeve patch, as you might guess, is for a semifore (signal flags) specialist.
