egg grenade crate

Hi Guys,
A new member on another forum I am active on has posted a
picture of his egg grenades and the case for them.

The box is gutted inside and he is wondering how the inside
would have been arranged when full.

Does anyone have any personal pictures or period pictures or post cards
that might show a open grenade case or one with grenades in it.

Hi Greg
Think they came in stacked loose perforated tray spacers so the shipping box is always found empty pretty much like real eggs. maybe Chip knows more...they still would have to primed then thrown in sacks boxes etc. for the trenches.
