    Pioniere Ink Stamp in Krätzchen?

I'm trying to work out what this ink stamp might mean.

A little research found that the anchor cypher was used by the Pioniere Verkehrstruppen, is that correct?

What it's doing in this Hussars muetze though I have no idea.

    Anybody?

Here is the cypher I'm referring to.

    Any thoughts about this gentlemen?

Perhaps it was used by those Veteranen.

I have already seen caps of Veteranen (Ehemalige), who used identical colors of well known Imperial Regiments on their headgear.

PS: I think it is no Krätzchen, I guess a visor cap that lost the visor.

        Hello,

Here's the badge on German e-bay for this cypher, except for Brunschweig:

Never thought of that, I think you could be right.

This rough lining material does not look right for an imperial cap. Maybe it's the photo, but it looks like burlap or some other lower quality material. This mark has to be something other than a unit mark, so I suspect it is a manufacture logo.

Hi Chip, yes the lining is hessian, very odd.

I think it may be an Imperial Russian sailors cap without the tally of course.
