Saxon schirmmutze question

I have seen listed on the 'net, an officer's or senior nco's visor cap for the Saxon Carabinier Regiment that has me baffled.
It's the correct blue, with black band & white piping, correct Reichs & Saxon cockades, but the lower piping is RED, not white. I cannot find any reference to this red piping any any of my numerous reference sources.
Could it be for a musician, say the bandmaster?
Any help most appreciated.
