    Krankenwärter Officers Cap?

    This one has me puzzled, if it had blue wool band it would definitely be Krankenwärter would it not?

    Did Officer medical attendants even exist?

    Construction also looks later than WW1 period to me.

    Any ideas gentlemen?

    Don't know about the service branch...but I would agree it is a post war cap.

        I cannot speak to the cockades, but the hat is a nice Weimar-era Verein piece--I like it.

              Meaning hats/uniforms made for veterans after 1918 (they were made up until at least the 1950s).
