The extra patched holes on the front could mean it was reissued or that it has been altered in a more recent time. Please post a photo of this portion of the interior. The front visor may also have been replaced. Normally, there should be a built-up bead around the front edge.

I'm sorry Geoff, but that front visor is from a Pickelhaube. It was probabaly added by someone as the Tschako was missing the correct Tschako front visor.
