    New Picklehaube

Picked up a new pre war em picklehaube Prussian with brass fittings. Helmet needs a small gouge in the leather repaired and needs 3 replacement brass domed screws
for spike mount , currently has one original holding spike on. Otherwise in nice condition, chinstrap heat fused to helmet body. Need name and website or email
    or competent Picklehaube restoration person.

    Many thanks! Bill

    Bill,

I would start with Kaiser's Bunker.

Do you have any pictures of this helmet?

One main obstacle I can see reguarding restoration of a pickelhaube is finding the missing bits with the same age, ware, and patina to match the exhisting helmet. I see original parts for sale on ebay and most are from Latvia, mostly from what looks to be ground dug items. Prusianglory sells very nice relacement parts but are modern made items
