    M18 cut out question

    Dear Gents,
I am looking for a helmet like this very long, and now I have a possibility to buy one. I would like to ask your opinion about it first, please let me know what do you think about the originality of the helmet.
    Many thanks,
    immer

Looks good from what I see. There are repos and reworked helmets so it is a good idea to search the forum and read some of the threads. When I posted my example I needed to post some specific angles before I got all around thumbs up.

Many thanks for helping me! I got the helmet today and it is really a 100% good one. Unortunately the painting on the shell outside is removed, but inside it has a nice dark green colour and a serial number in the top. I haven't met with any helmets with serial number there, only in the skirt inside.

              Thank you very much again!

Hi, in mine it is not a stamp, but a deep marking like the ET64 (I do not know the english name of it, it is hit in the steel).

                        Hi,
tomorrow I will make a picture about the serial number (?) and all of the markings and write you, but now there is no good light for taking pictures.

Congrats immer. Unmessed with WWI issued originals are getting extremely hard to find. I too have waited for many years to find one in original condition, and it should arrive this week. Don't paint it. Don't add an ugly repo liner... leave history as found.
