cantine 1918 "papierstoff" made

hello,this one y have found past week (it nr 8 !) y simply do like these a lot ,it is a german late war cantine whit his cover made in "papierstoff" the bottel herself has date and maker on her ;( Gebr . pretsfelder 18 Vach )she is nice compleet whit her black tie string, ,she has a littel markings from mots but not bad,and y like those because 1918 is the year y collect, but here she is,

Very nice! I was fortunate enough to have purchased one of the glass canteens with this papercloth cover at a flea market in N.J. for $75 many years ago. Mine is not dated though but obviously dates no earlier than 17/18. Interestingly, mine is the second example that has two oval pieces of cardboard inserted between the canteen body and the cover for extra cushioning. I can't imagine the glass canteens lasted very long in the field.

No need to post pictures of mine...it's identical (with the exception of a legible date stamp) to that picuted on the other thread. As for $75, yep, deals like that done't come along nearly often enough!
