Prussian Gardes du Corps Reserve Officer's Visor Cap

This silk-top GdC visor is on Ebay right now. Thoughts/comments?:

Well, it's certainly in good condition. Is the sweatband possibly replaced? The white or cream underside to the peak seems authentic; two of my Imperial caps have similiar.
I know that Imperial caps were made as "commemerative " items in the 20's & 30's; would a silk top, reserve officer's cap be one of them?
I honestly can't say authentic or not for now.

Other than the cream underbelly, I don't like it. Doesn't look like the craftsmanship you'd like to see coming out of Imperial Germany.

Gotta say, it's not something I'd want either.

From a TR perspective, the piping does not appear to lie correctly, and the application appears to be uneven. However, I have not personally handled a KR silk-top, and figured silk might be a more difficult fabric to work with in terms of piping application, so I thought it might have a chance.

          Thanks for the input.
