    M18 Helmet, probably Finnish

Sorry if I double posted but I tried to post this under John Burnett Helmet Forum but ther where not that much interest so I was hoping that a you guys could help me with this recent purchase

What I think I have is a Finnish painted M18 helmet with a German white leather liner and possibly and replaced liner band.

    All info is appreciated

A Weissenburger size66 m18 I've no idea on the liner I thought Fins used a small domed head front rivet?

Hold the phone just remembered the first helmet I bought here in the US was a W2 Finnish m18 the pads were dark leather and had tye grommets but the rivets were small domed. Could be, interesting.

So this might be a standard issued German WW1 helmet with german paint and liner`?

I dont know that why I am asking.

All I know is that the seller said he got the helmet from someone Fighting on the Finnish front thats why I assumed it would be a Finnish but I gues it could be german alltogether

          Thanks

            No
The liner band and pads are not W1 German.
