    I collect to this Regiment. The Totenkopf and Bandeau are cast replicas. There is no doubt. It has been placed on a Line Reserve officer. An original would never have the Preußen FR on the eagle's chest.

          sorry to say it was mine

          The hoube originaly was bought by Derrittmeister i didnt checked the hoube becouse of trust from the reseller. A hard lesson to al of us check the goods proper before you buy. Wat you boys sayed to the hoube is unfortunaltely true.
          Its so stupith of me that i nefer noticed this before.

              My first thought, after all these years, is to view anything with the Totenkopf, be it pickelhaube, pelzmutze, or schirmmutze, as suspect. Since they are so much in demand, it's what the fakers concentrate on, and those who are eager to possess the death's head end up getting burned.
              It seems that it's just as bad for Imperial items as it is for Third Reich SS items.
