    WW I Boots?

    Need your help guys.

When I bought these boots I was originally told they were WW II.

Now I'm told they are WW I because of the horizontal seam that runs around.

Have a look at this thread and tell me what you think.

Issue WWI Boots usually have seam on the sides of the legs, boots like yours are a style made privately in WWI and WWII. Dating these is pretty hard if they have leather soles and no hobnails.

Has hobnails, steel horsehoe heels and toe clips.

I would say that they are not WWI issue boots. Toe "clips" are typically post WWI.

WW2, but are there any markings? Can we see the rear of the boot, near the heel?
