I see that the only red, blue and white (silver?) state is Schaumburg-Lippe. I have a sword knot that I would like to id and I now wonder if it is from this State? Can you help with this?

Of course, that does not look like a WWII era knot. The colors remind me of a knot that I have seen that was made for export to one of the South American armies (Chile?). I could be off on that, but I don't believe it is the knot of one of the German states.

The sword is an Imperial engraved blade refitted into a TR hilt, and the knot came with the sword (although that proves nothing).
