M-17 Tranny

I picked this one up yesterday. I have been trying to get it for some time now but finally got it. This one has the numbers stamped on the top of the helmet 469 instead of the inside rim??Has anyone seen this before or is it normal and I have no clue,LOL.

These numbers are not normally stamped outside top center, but I've seen a few stamped this way. Don't worry, they're legit.

External stamping of Austrian manufactured stahlhelm is I believe very common; I have several examples like that. Nothing to worry about.
