        nice restoration project

HI, I bougth recently a similar one, for around 480 euros, on ebay US (around 600 USD), missing chin scales, cavalry cockades and liner, like yours,
your eagle is an infantry type, not the proper cuirassier type, but I wonder if all cuirassier helmets were really fitted with this specific eagle and in war time it 's quite possible that German firms produced cuirassier helmets fitted with infantry eagles....
this front plate is broken and would have to be replaced or fixed,
nice marking, KR8, seems that a lot of these helmets were found in some depot of this regiment,
        hope this helps
        Steve
