Gentlemen. This is the first of the species I've ever come across. I would greatly appreciate any information you feel able to offer. Am I corect in saying it's a Prussian Artillery Officer's Helmet? Any information on the regimental markings and indeed the original owner, would also be of great interest.

Nope. You would be very wrong. That is an issued Kugelhelm made prior to 1894. It was worn by Einjährig-Freiwilliger (One year volunteer)Originally posted by lanners55 View Post

Its a beautiful example. As an Imperial German Artillery collector I really enjoyed seeing it.
