    Visor Caps

Help!A local museum is going out of business and wants $600 for these 2 caps. What are they?Prussian? Is this a fair price? Both are in good shape.

The one on the left is a Württemberg technical officer (field or foot artillery, pioneer, Kraftfahr, etc.). The other is a Garde Schützen officer's cap. They look nice and are of a somewhat earlier style (short visors). I think the price is too high. I'm no pricing expert, but $400-$450 seems more in line for what they are.

I agree, it is too expensive. I would not pay more than $350-$400.

If these caps are in good shape, little or no mothing, sweatband & peak still firmly attached, etc., I would say $600 for BOTH is a very good price. They wouldn't be priced at $300 each at a dealer, that's for sure.
        Just MHO.

The Garde Schützen visor cap (green one on the right) is the rarer cap by all means. And "yes", it is Prussian.

See if you can buy just that one cap for $300.

Best of luck to you in dealing on them.
